Welcome to Defend Our Children, a pioneering 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing school safety across the United States. We believe that a simple alarm or a locked door is not enough to deter school violence. Our mission is to ensure that every student is safe and secure, and that every child sees their graduation day.
Our approach is unique. We utilize the power of the community through fundraising to equip schools with Safe Space Security Desks. These desks are the final line of defense, enhancing the 'Run, Hide, Fight' strategy and offering immediate cover and concealment.
School violence remains a tragic reality, leaving students and educators vulnerable despite conventional safety measures like locked doors, drills, or alarms. These methods, while helpful, are passive barriers—not solutions. What schools need is active protection—a shelter that stands between danger and the precious lives of our children.

I just wanted to share my experience after purchasing a Security Desk from Defend Our Children. As a retired gentleman living alone in a fairly isolated area, the possibility of being a victim of a home invasion was becoming unsettling.
